All in all.....WHO HAS REALLY BENEFITED FROM MEDS?

Medicine saves lives daily. Who has truly benefited from meds? From going through treatment, talking with your doctor, explaining your thoughts and found relief through prescribed medicine? The doctor is trained in this, sees this stuff daily. The doctor knows what to do. Feel free to truly explain yourself and explain how you feel about medicine. It's all for your benefit.

  • I have benefited from meds. I was in the midst of a psychotic episode that lasted years. I will ask my doctor if that qualifies for the diagnosis of schizophrenia. But....I had severe delusions, from thinking people were watching me, to thinking I was talking to them and they were talking to me...to thinking I was the holy Spirit and that I was helping Jesus get revenge.....all of that CONTROLLED my mind. And I took meds for two to three months and it all went away. I came back to reality. I quit meds several times over the course of initially starting meds. And each time, I have the same delusions. And each time my mom forced me to take meds...and each time I come back to reality. So meds do benefit. But you are stuck on them. I suppose that is alright considering off meds, my mind just takes off on tangents of paranoia.

  • I've benefitted from meds, when I can get access to them.  It's been a hard fight and finally finding something that works is a part of the battle.

  • You should have access to meds. I can only take what I can afford
